Analyzing Tuberculosis Cases in Kaduna State from 2021 to 2023 using Data Science

Challenge background

The Cases of Tuberculosis in the society is mostly underrated by the common man, ye it is a disease that poses great health risk and being a communicable disease it can easily be transmitted to other persons, this is why the SDG Goals deem it necessary to classify it with HIV and Malaria as an Epidemic. Also, Nigerian Governments own i.e the NTBLCP Strategic Plan 2021–2025 which aims to accelerate efforts at ending the TB epidemic in Nigeria by ensuring access to comprehensive and high-quality patient-centered and community-owned TB services for all Nigerians.

The problem

This project aims to develop a tool for analyzing data collected and compiled in the state by automating the process using data science by developing a notebook and or dashboard on Streamlit to present Data insights and visualizations on the data.

Goal of the project

We seek to solve the issue of irregularities of data collected from the community by cleaning, pre-processing and exploring available data on tuberculosis in Kaduna State from 2021 to this past quarter of 2023

We also seek to build a tool to be adopted by health service providers in making informed and insightful decisions regarding tuberculosis in Kaduna State.

We also seek to build and foster good relationship with the State agency for monitoring Tuberculosis.

Also, Lastly we seek to develop a tool, a notebook or dashboard on Streamlit for Analysis of data collected each quarter and presenting these data in comprehensively making logical and factual deductions and visualizations
