Challenge background

The Nigerian economy has undergone a fast surge in prices and value, ranging from daily commodities to services and products available in the markets. This has changed the economy from state to state in terms of living conditions, as such we intend to look directly of major pillars like incomes, expenditures and savings capabilities of citizens.

The problem

Create a quick view dashboard that will provide in-depth information on price surge and its effects on the economy using Data Science.

Goal of the project

Present a graphical view of selected items based basic living needs from food items, cost of transportation, taxation, wages, healthcare, and essential commodities and their rise in prices, also compare value of Naira and Dollar against these prices. We would want to see how these prices vary when

    Data Collection-Collect data from various online sources, including World Bank, IMF, CBN, NBS and other available sources. Ensure data complies with 20 year period to at least December and 2023

What you'll learn

We shall learn data visualization and application of data science in financial analysis. Also, it will broaden the understanding of economic situation of Nigeria and possibly give insights to ways of amelioration and subduing the economic plights of its citizens.
