Measuring Emission and Its Effect on the Environment and Population
Challenge Started!

This Omdena Local Chapter Challenge runs for 7 weeks and is a unique experience to try and grow your skills in a collaborative and safe environment with a diverse mix of people from all over the world.
You will work on solving a local problem, initiated by Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania Chapter.
The problem
The data and evidence generated by your project can influence local policymakers and authorities to adopt evidence-based environmental policies and regulations. This can lead to the implementation of stricter emission control measures and sustainable development practices.
Identifying areas with high pollutant concentrations can aid in the development of targeted public health interventions to reduce exposure and mitigate health risks.
The goals
- Measure and monitor the concentrations of key pollutants, such as greenhouse gases (e.g., CO2, CH4, N2O) and air pollutants (e.g., PM, SO2, NOx), in various areas of the community.
- Assess the environmental impact of emissions on local air quality, water quality, soil health, and ecosystems to understand the scope and severity of environmental degradation.
