Introduction

Omdena is proud to announce our partnership with the Asia Foundation in Nepal on a project aimed at improving the availability of credible information and diverse narratives within media that better represent women, youth, and marginalized (WYM) issues and perspectives. This initiative is part of USAID CSM M&E’s efforts to advance representation practices in media.

As part of this initiative, we invite Nepali people to collaborate on solving real-world problems that are important to them and their communities. Participants have the opportunity to organize their own projects or join our projects. This unique opportunity allows participants to gain visibility and build their portfolio while contributing to the development of language models for Nepali, classifying WYM-related media content, rating media content based on diversity and reliable representation, and working closely with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to develop AI and machine learning skills.
