Detecting Hateful and Offensive Language Using NLP

This Omdena Local Chapter Challenge runs for 8 weeks and is a unique experience to try and grow your skills in a collaborative and safe environment with a diverse mix of people from all over the world.

You will work on solving a local problem, initiated by the Omdena Aswan, Egypt chapter.

The problem

We want to avoid the impacts of hate speech and fake news in our homes that would negatively affect our friends and families, especially children, as they are the most minor expert with technology. As a result, we would use our technology experience to tackle this problem and provide a safe environment for them.

The goals

• Train datasets
• Carry out data pre-processing
• Develop a Machine learning model
• Use NLP and advanced Machine Learning
• Develop an API to be used by individuals
